SocialNest Privacy Policy

SocialNest ("we," "us," "our") operates the socialnest.app website and application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your Google email and profile name.

Social Platform Data: When you connect social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc.), we access data you authorize including: profile information, follower counts, post content, comments, direct messages, and analytics metrics. We only access data within the scopes you explicitly grant during the connection process.

Payment Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe provides us with a payment token, last four digits, and billing email for transaction records.

Usage Data: We collect standard analytics data including pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide the SocialNest service (unified inbox, scheduling, analytics, media kit, CRM, outreach); display your social media data within your dashboard; send messages and publish content on your behalf when you initiate those actions; generate AI-powered suggestions (captions, brand matches, pitch drafts) using your content and profile data; process payments and manage your subscription; send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, notifications you've enabled); and improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SocialNest:

  • Supabase (database and authentication hosting)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Cloudinary (media storage and processing)
  • Zernio (social media API aggregation)
  • Apollo.io (brand contact enrichment)
  • OpenAI (AI features — captions, pitches, brand matching)
  • Google (Gmail API for outreach emails, YouTube API, Google Calendar sync)
  • Meta (Instagram and Facebook APIs)
  • TikTok (TikTok API for content publishing and analytics)

Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

SocialNest's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest. Social media access tokens are encrypted. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days after deletion.

7. Your Rights

You may: export your data at any time from Settings; delete your account and all associated data from Settings; disconnect any social media account at any time (we immediately stop accessing that platform's data); opt out of marketing emails (transactional emails cannot be opted out of while your account is active).

For users in the EU/EEA (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. Contact us at hello@socialnest.app.

For users in California (CCPA): you have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sales. We do not sell personal data.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can manage cookie preferences via the cookie banner on first visit.

9. Children

SocialNest is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
